My Tai Chi journey
My master and me
My master, Shaojun He, has practiced traditional Yang-style Tai Chi for over 50 years, and his students are spread across the globe.
I am Li Tao, 40 years old, began learning traditional Yang-style Tai Chi from him in Sichuan in April 2008, and in 2011, I became a formal seventh-generation Tai Chi disciple.
I want to follow in my master’s footsteps and promote Tai Chi around the world, helping more people achieve physical and mental well-being.

Taichi and me
I have practiced Tai Chi for over 16 years. During practice, I focus on the present, relax my body, and clear my mind. Even after hours of practice, I feel refreshed.
While in Chengdu, China, I assisted my master by translating between Chinese and English. This experience gave me a deeper understanding of the challenges foreigners face when learning Tai Chi.
I moved to the Netherlands 7.5 years ago and became a backup Tai Chi instructor at a gym center. I also participated in company activities to teach Tai Chi and received positive feedback.
